Jazz CRJ-200 Painted to 2017 ACX Colours

Fri Nov 17, 2017 7:25 pm

Here is a newish video of C-FEJA, a Jazz CRJ-200. It recently flew back from Muskoka where it was repainted from Yellow Jazz to the New Colors.

Slightly revised "EXPRESS" titles on this one which are in uppercase instead of the lowercase titles on previous repaints.

Should also add that it was the last of Jazz's yellow and white version.

Looks very sharp! Is that the first CRJ-200 to wear the new AC livery?

I wonder when the Air Georgian ones are gonna go in for paint... I guess soon now that this CRJ2 is the first one to be completed.

Does Jazz still have any of their livery flying?

Yes, 2 of them, C-FRUZ and C-FSOU. They are used in the summer as charters and not AC service

Not counting the Jazz dedicated charter fleet, I’m pretty sure there are still a couple of Dash 8s and a CRJ or two in the old livery.

Wow. Looks very sharp. I think this livery brings out the best out of the little old CRJ200!

They both get used on scheduled routes on a regular basis when not doing charters!

The mask looks so good on smaller aircraft rather than the larger wide bodies. It will look amazing on the C Series when AC gets their first ones.

Only a couple CRJ-200s remain in the original Jazz paint. This one just repainted was the last yellow version.

Their 1900s were stripped of the branding so hopefully the CRJs won’t be.

Why are the 1900's getting their branding taken off?

This would have been a good update to follow on the regional wings blog too, but it's gone silent for 3 weeks. Anyone know what's going on?

AC has just descided to strip the tier 3s (EVAS, Georgian) not sure but I don’t think they think the branding is necessary with them.

I'm just glad they did away with the name "Jazz" ... that was a ridiculous name ... jazz music is not synonymous with Canada in any way.

Jazz is still a thing. It’s no different than Skywest. Jazz is its own company that has a CPA with Air Canada under the ACX brand.

Well the same could be said about names such as Transat or WestJet. Transatlantic flying isn’t exclusive to Canada nor is being from the west. Heck, if one didn’t know any better names such as Delta or Continental really don’t/didn’t necessarily seem to allude to the US in any obvious way.

Oddly enough it makes this crap of an aircraft look attractive. This has to be the most uncomfortable modern day jet aircraft that exists.

The interior of these CRJs is also crap, so one is bound to be disappointed when they step in.

I had the misfortune of flying on a E-190 and then the CRJ-705. I found the 190 just terrible because the seats were like a park bench and the CRJ-705 was comfortable compared to it.

Personally I’m a bit surprised to see a 200 repainted as I was sure they were being retired.

Whose 190 did you fly? I've always found AC's to be very comfortable, the 2-2 seating and monitor and seat pitch were awesome. I get to fly Alaska's 175 today, have done DL's in the past and have found it equally comfortable.

Other than the fact Canada is home to one of the world's largest jazz festivals and has produced quite a few jazz artists.

Remember the Jazz name about came during AC's '"rying to find itself" era along with Tango and Zip.

AC and I had the most awful back ache after each time I’ve flown on them. Especially on a YYC-YYZ leg. For me 2-2 isn’t make or break, it’s seat comfort and the 190 lacks back support and butt support.
