chartering aircraft USA/Australia in peak Xmas season ?

Wed Sep 13, 2017 7:46 am

We have had someone ask us who is there to charter from USA to Australia ? They want to do somewhere between 16 & 24 one ways & doesn't have to be nonstop. A tech stop anywhere is ok.

Probably wouldn't get a realistic costing from the incumbent scheduled operators who already fly direct or nonstop to Australia, so that eliminates, UA, AA, DL, QF, VA, HA, NZ, FJ.

USA charter operators with widebodies, are now limited to Omni & Atlas we believe.

So what about for example, Asian carriers who fly to USA & fly to Australia, but don't fly between USA & Australia, except the long way via Asia ?

Heard CI are parking B744's & A343's.

Any suggestions, who might have available aircraft ?

Perhaps a triangular route might be best, eg. Asia/Australia/USA/Asia & vice versa, especially as many Asian airlines already have a presence in both USA & Australia & crewing might be easier.

The busy Australian summer school holidays run from mid NOV to early FEB.

It sounds like a broker is what you need. They know the market, they have all the contacts and are there to help you set up. Costs are limited compared to what the chartering of the plane will cost, and through their contacts they will most likely even save you money compared to when you do it yourself.

I've worked with Air Charter Service extensively in the past and would recommend them: http://www.aircharterservice.com/contact

Then I'd ask; what line of work are you in that you keep getting corporate and/or event travel enquiries and we're you're best option for advice?
