Upload, Screening, Reject, Appeal...

Tue Apr 24, 2018 10:10 am

Greetings to the Airlines.net community!

I apologize in advance for my bad English.

Honestly, I did not think that I was ever going to create this topic. Created. Because I'm really tired of guessing desires and requirements of screeners.
As I understand there is no formula for success. There is no formula in the processing of the photo so that she passed a strict selection of the screen.
It's amazing that a lot of photos uploaded by me, I accept those that I least like. :D

I'll start the case.
In my arsenal is Kenon 6D Mark2 and Kenon 100-400 Mark 2. This bundle of Canon gives an excellent result in sharpness.
Even if I do a resize the picture, the sharpness remains at a good level.
This is the main reason for reject a photo.

1. Overexposed,Soft:

2. Colour, Grainy, CW Rotation:
https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/air ... 32d9a45647

3. Oversharpened, Quality, Noise:
https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/air ... 434b32718d

4. Oversharpened:
https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/air ... 40cf33fb84

5. Soft, Underexposed:
https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/air ... dcb90b21af

6. Oversharpened:
https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/air ... 34cddc1001

Help me to understand. I really can not figure it out.

And with these take these photos:

1 : Exposure looks not so bad but i think reduce bit of Highlight might be more comfortable. It does can have more sharpness to it.BTW, using smaller size can be better i think.
3 : Do not see any very obvious noise from it. Sharpness looks not very bad to me. But agree with Quality since the whole pic looks not so well.
4 : Not so serious, Windows have slight jaggys.
5 : Exposure looks not bad although it can be improved little bit but the nose part need to be taken care since it might be overexposed if you want to increas exposure.Sharpness looks not bad except for the front gear and the cockpit glass areas. I would say that using smaller size might be better. BTW, the aircraft seems reddish.
6. REG and wing have slight jaggys.

Cheers,
Harry

Photo was rejected:

- Editing
- Overexposed
- Personal Message

The Screener left a comment regarding this photo:
"HDR or similar editing technique."

Honestly, I do not understand what's the matter.
Sunny morning, visibility is 100%.
HDR methods? No! :))) I do not even know how to do it :)))) Lol
Editing? Well, of course. Crop, shadows, light ...

I do not know...

Hello!
In order:
1. I use the Camera RAW;
2. In Photoshop I frame the picture. Further I work in Photoshop;
3. Then, with the help of Nick Collection and I get a tone contrast, light and contrast;
4. With the help of Nick Collection remove unnecessary noise.
It's all.
LOL, I can't do it anymore :)

Am I doing something wrong?
If you want, I can provide a RAW file.

Cheers,

As i know that using too much Highlight or Shadow can lead to slight HDR Effect. This one actually looks not bad but the nose part and the areas around cockpit look like HDR Effect Lol ~

Using the NiK features will likely lead to HDR-looking photos quickly and it's not the most suitable edit program for photos for A.net.
